Patients look forward to

Tips for a Successful Big Hearts for Little Hands Visit

  • Download, review and sign the Confidentiality Agreement for Non-Employees. Please bring this signed agreement with you on the day of your visit. A member of the Child Life team will collect this form when you arrive at the Child Life Playroom or Classroom.
  • You are welcome to take photographs during your group’s visit to the hospital as long as patients are NOT in the pictures. Photos cannot be used for promotional or fundraising purposes. Please consult our privacy policy for more information.
  • In general, group size is limited to five individuals in the Child Life Playroom and Classroom at any one time. However, special arrangements may be made through the Child Life team. The minimum age of a guest is 10 years old. At least one adult over the age of 18 must accompany all Big Heart visitors.
  • Individuals are also welcome. Community Service hours for class credit are limited to two hours.
  • Plan to bring an interactive item with you such as a craft activity and supplies, a puppet, toy, musical instruments, a book to read or a game to play.
  • Please dress comfortably and safely in closed toe and closed heeled shoes. In warm weather, knee length shorts and tops with at least a 3 inch width strap are permitted.
