Michele Waldron

Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Michele Waldron is chief financial officer and vice president for Children’s Hospital Central California. At Children’s, she is responsible for leading the financial services team in forecasting, financial planning, budgeting, financial accounting and reporting, contracting, registration, billing, and collections.

Michele began her professional career in public accounting at Ernst & Whinney, serving in the audit division for just over three years before joining Children’s in 1989. Michele was the Hospital's director of general accounting for nine years and executive director of finance for five years before becoming the chief financial officer in 2003.

Michele serves on the Board for California Children’s Hospital Association.  She is a member of The California Society of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).  She is also a member of La Feliz Guild.

Michele is a native of Bakersfield, California and graduated from Highland High School in 1981. She received her bachelor’s degree from California State University, Fresno in 1985.
