Board certified in pediatric emergency medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Claudine Aguilar has advanced qualifications in pediatric and neonatal advanced life support.
Dr. Aguilar’s interests include childhood literacy and she has been actively involved in the Reach Out and Read (ROR) program, a pediatric early literacy program that encourages literacy development in young patients. Her involvement included reading to children in Las Vegas, Nev., and investigating the impact of ROR on illiteracy of both parents and children as part of research she conducted for ROR. She also served on the ROR Committee, designing the ROR program at the University of Nevada School of Medicine Continuity Clinics, which included fundraising, recruitment and research.
Dr. Aguilar earned her medical degree from the American University of the Carribean in St. Maarten, Netherlands-Antilles. She completed her pediatric internship at the Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland, Penn. Dr. Aguilar completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Las Vegas.
