Board certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Joseph Gerardi, Medical Director of Orthopaedics, is an active member of several professional societies including the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. His research has been published in medical journals including the “Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics” and the “American Journal of Orthopedics.”

Dr. Joseph GerardiDr. Gerardi's expertise is in pediatric orthopaedics, scoliosis, fracture care, clubfoot, and cerebral palsy and athletic injuries. 

Dr. Gerardi served as Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Guam from 1988-1990. He currently serves as Chair of the Department of Surgery and Medical Director of Orthopaedic Surgery at Children's Hospital.

A graduate of the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, Dr. Joseph Gerardi completed an internship in the Department of Surgery and a residency in the Department of Orthopaedics at the U.S. Naval Hospital in San Diego, California. He is fellowship trained in pediatric orthopedic and scoliosis surgery by Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Crippled Children in Dallas, Texas.
