Following the completion of his pediatric medical training, Dr. John Kinnison joined Children’s in July 2004 as a pediatric hospitalist. Dr. Kinnison is board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. He belongs to the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the California Medical Association.

Dr. Kinnison’s community service activities include participation as a mentor in the Sunnyside Leadership Program, providing shadowing experience for high school students interested in pursuing a medical profession. He also involved in a medical mission to Naga City, Philippines, providing surgical care to indigent residents of Naga City.

A graduate of Loyola University Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois, Dr. Kinnison completed a pediatric residency at the University of California, San Francisco-Fresno Medical Education Program, based at Children’s Hospital Central California, University Medical Center and Fresno Community Hospital.
