Dr. Muslim Jami is board certified in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition by the American Board of Pediatrics. An expert in pediatric gastroenterology, Dr. Jami has taken numerous national and international postgraduate courses. He has given lectures to pediatric residents and gastroenterology fellows and is involved in teaching and lecturing pediatric residents in the University of California, San Francisco-Fresno program.
Aside from his love of teaching, Dr. Jami has several current and future research projects including a comparison of three different cleansing preparations for colonoscopy procedures. His research has been published in professional journals including the Journal of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition and presented to health organizations such as the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition. He is also a member of the American Gastroenterology Association and the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition.
Dr. Jami received his medical degree from Dow Medical College, University of Karachi in Pakistan. He completed a pediatric externship at Yale New Haven Hospital in and his residency in pediatrics at the Waterbury Hospital Health Center in Connecticut. Dr. Jami completed fellowships in pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliate Hospitals in Milwaukee and Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
