Board certified in pediatric cardiology and pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Narakesari Heragu joined Children’s Hospital in July 2004. He belongs to the American Heart Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics. His research and work has been published in the American Journal of Cardiology, the Journal of Perinatology and the Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal.
His professional experience includes having served as a staff pediatrician and pediatric cardiologist in Mansfield and Shreveport, Louisiana, prior to joining Children’s.
Dr. Heragu graduated from Bangalore Medical College, Bangalore University in India. He completed pediatric residencies at the Post Graduate Institute (P.G.I.M.E.R.) in Chandigarh, India and Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He is fellowship trained in pediatric cardiology by the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
