Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Patrick Nwajei joined Children’s Hospital in July 2011 as a neonatologist.

With more than 15 years’ experience, he comes to Children’s Hospital after recently completing a three-year neonatology/perinatology fellowship at the Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami in Miami, Fl. Prior to that, he served as a pediatric hospitalist at Clara Maas Medical Center in Belleville, N.J.

Dr. Nwajei received his medical degree from the College of Medicine, University of Benin, Benin-City, Nigeria. He completed a pediatric residency at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, N.J., where he also served as chief resident. Dr. Nwajei is a member of several professional societies, including the American Academy of Pediatrics.
