Dr. Patricia Quebada-Clerkin joined Children’s Hospital in July 2011 as a pediatric neurosurgeon. Her areas of interest include brain and spinal cord tumors, congenital spine and brain malformations, craniofacial disorders, peripheral nerve tumors and disorders, spinal instrumentation, hydrocephalus, shunts and endoscopy, pediatric brain and spinal cord trauma.
She is board eligible in neurosurgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. Dr. Quebada-Clerkin comes to us from Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H., where she served as an instructor of neurosurgery since 2007. Her experience includes articles in various peer-reviewed publications such as “Journal of Neurosurgery Pediatrics,” “Journal of Neurosurgery” and “Molecular Brain Research.”
Dr. Quebada-Clerkin is a member of several professional societies, including the AANS Section of Pediatric Neurosurgery, National Neurotrauma Society, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, and Congress of Neurological Surgeons. She is also a member of Specialty Medical Group. She has participated in community and international organizations, such as the Craniofacial Teaching Clinic, National Pediatrics Hospital, in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Dr. Quebada-Clerkin grew up in California and attended University of California – Berkeley with a major in the neurosciences. She completed her medical degree at New York Medical College in Valhalla, N.Y. She did her internship in surgery and her residency in neurosurgery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H. She also did post-doctoral training as a research fellow at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. She completed fellowships in pediatric neurosurgery at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario in Canada and at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
