Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Ralph Diaz joined Children’s Hospital Central California in August 2000 as a pediatric hospitalist. Dr. Diaz is the Medical Director of Specialty Medical Group (SMG). He is a member of the American Medical Association and the California Medical Association.

Actively involved in the community, Dr. Diaz was a health sciences mentor for minority students at Fresno City College, a Children’s Miracle Network telethon volunteer and Special Olympics volunteer.

A graduate of Texas Tech University, Dr. Diaz completed a pediatric residency at the University of California, San Francisco-Fresno, where he was Chief Resident.

Dr. Diaz can read and write fluently in Spanish. His hobbies include reading, volleyball, basketball, hiking, mountain biking and southwest cooking.
