Board certified in general pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Lenore Reeva Simangan joined Children’s Hospital Central California in August 2012 as a pediatric hospitalist. As a general pediatric physician she has many areas of interests, and enjoys diagnosing and managing a variety of diseases from infancy to adolescence.
Dr. Simangan earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Her love of children and medicine led her to complete her residency in pediatrics at the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Las Vegas.
She participated in various volunteer and outreach opportunities during her undergraduate years at UCLA. These volunteer efforts continued in Las Vegas during her residency, which included participation in teen outreach clinics, sports physicals in College of Southern Nevada, and Diabetes Camp with the Nevada Diabetes Association.
During her residency she presented various topics in her field, including treating resistant Kawasaki’s disease, tumor lysis syndrome, and H. influenza meningitis.
Dr. Simangan is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics and Specialty Medical Group.
In her free time, Dr. Simangan has a passion for singing, music, and playing the piano. She loves food and cooking, dancing, playing tennis, and spending time with her family and friends.
