Dr. Syed Kamal is board certified in pediatric nephrology by the American Board of Pediatrics, Inc and is a member of the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom. Currently he is the director of the Dialysis and Renal Transplantation and an assistant clinical professor of pediatrics with University of California, San Francisco. Prior to joining Children’s, Dr. Kamal worked in private practice in Riverdale.

After graduating from Rawalpindi Medical College in Pakistan, Dr. Kamal did his residency at Royal Hospital for Sick Children in the United Kingdom and the University of Connecticut Health Center. He completed a fellowship in pediatric nephrology at UCLA Medical Center.
