Members of the East Fresno Rotary Club donated 30 televisions to Children's Hospital on Friday April 2 after proceeds were raised from the Rotary Club's fall fundraiser.
The televisions will be placed in patient rooms as a gift from the East Rotary Club. The delivery came in full compliance of all state and federal regulations so Children's Hospital had no additional costs to replacing the 30 televisions that had become worn out and outdated.
"East Fresno Rotary is very proud and excited to be able to donate 30 state of the art, flat screen television sets to Children's Hospital Central California," said East Rotary Club President Ed Beaudette. "We are happy to be able to accomplish such important needs and goals for one of the Central Valley's most valuable assets."
Children's Hospital board members, Rotary Club members, patients, and mascot George the Giraffe were all present for the delivery. Patient's hugged George as they watched the 30 TV's be unloaded from the truck.
The TV's were part of the many needs expressed on Children's Hospital Central California's wish list.
