Laughter and smiles were in ample supply as clowns from the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus brought the show to patients at Children’s Hospital Central California who cannot visit the circus.
Clowns from “The Greatest Show on Earth” provided a fun-filled experience for patients, parents and staff in the Hospital’s donor recognition area, performing several tricks done during the circus’ preshow including ring and club juggling. Much to the crowd’s delight, the clowns solicited audience participation for several of the acts.
“We’re celebrating the spirit of children here at the Hospital,” said Taylor Albin, one of four clowns that performed at Children’s Hospital. “We’re here to brighten up their day and let the kids see what we do at the show.”
Following the performance, the clowns then went throughout the Hospital, bringing the fun to children who were unable to leave their rooms. Patients got to clown around, mingle and take pictures with the entertainers.
The circus performers were happy to come to the Hospital during the show’s stop in Fresno, which has become an annual affair. The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus are in downtown Fresno.
