Pediatric Rheumatology

Caring for children with rheumatic and inflammatory diseases, our physicians are skilled in diagnosis, treatment and long term monitoring of therapeutic effectiveness and coordination of care.

Our team offers a multidisciplinary approach to patient care and collaborates closely with multiple practices, including nephrology, orthopedics, ophthalmology and physical medicine and rehabilitation. Our interprofessional team includes physicians, nurses, social workers, physical and occupational therapists, medical assistants and clinical research coordinators.

Care Beyond the Clinic

The rheumatology department at Valley Children’s works closely with organizations including the Arthritis Foundation and the American College of Rheumatology. We also have a variety of programs for pediatric patients with chronic autoimmune conditions, including group yoga and team sports like cricket, to improve their physical activities and coping skills.
